The prestigious continental event is scheduled to take place from January 31 to February 6, bringing together top cueists from across Asia.
Mohammad Asif to Lead Senior Team
Pakistan’s challenge in the senior men’s category will be spearheaded by newly crowned national champion Mohammad Asif. He will be accompanied by national championship runner-up Rana Irfan Mahmood, forming a strong and experienced pair for the Asian stage.
Asif’s recent domestic success has boosted confidence in the camp, with officials hopeful that his form will translate into a strong performance at the international level.
Young Talent Ready for U-21 Battle
In the Under-21 division, the spotlight will be on Ahsan Ramzan, who secured a bronze medal at the Asian U-21 Championship in 2025. He will also be joined by Mohammad Hasnain Akhtar, the reigning IBSF U-17 World Champion.
The youth duo represents Pakistan’s bright future in international snooker and carries strong medal potential heading into the championship.
Training Camp Underway in Karachi
The squad has already begun preparations at the Jahangir Khan Sports Complex, where an intensive training camp is in progress. PBSA Secretary Naveed Kapadia will travel as the team manager and official delegate.
The senior players are set to depart for Doha on Friday, while the U-21 pair will join them on Sunday.
PBSA has expressed full confidence in the selected lineup, hoping the team will deliver outstanding results and bring pride to Pakistan at the Asian Snooker Championships.
