Pakistan Volleyball Team Wins Silver at Asian Youth Games 2025

Pakistan’s rising volleyball stars delivered a historic performance at the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025, securing a silver medal after a hard-fought final against Iran in Manama, Bahrain. The young squad finished as runners-up after losing 3-0, with close set scores of 25–21, 25–23, and 25–23.

Despite missing out on gold, Pakistan’s journey at the Asian Youth Games has been widely praised as a major success for youth volleyball development.

Unbeaten Run to the Final

Before the championship clash, Pakistan remained undefeated throughout the tournament. The team produced dominant wins against Mongolia, Bahrain, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, and China, showcasing exceptional teamwork and tactical discipline.

In the final, the boys displayed remarkable determination against a strong Iranian side. Each set was tightly contested, reflecting Pakistan’s growing strength at the Asian level.

Star Performers and Coaching Excellence

Key players including Muhammad Yahya, Muhammad Anas, Muhammad Irfan, and Ajmal Junaid stood out with consistent performances. The team was guided by Head Coach Saeed Ahmed Khan Sady and team manager-cum-coach Naseer Ahmed, whose leadership played a crucial role in the squad’s success.

This achievement is part of the long-term vision of the Pakistan Volleyball Federation, which has focused on youth development over the past four years — from gold at the U16 Asian Championship to strong performances at U18 and U19 levels.

Federation and PSB Applaud Historic Achievement

Officials of the federation congratulated the players for their dedication and resilience. The Pakistan Sports Board also received appreciation for organizing the national training camp in Islamabad and supporting the team’s participation.

Pakistan Climbs Medal Table

With one silver in volleyball and a bronze in kabaddi, Pakistan has improved its position from 35th to 29th in the overall standings. Meanwhile, China leads the medal tally, followed by Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

The silver medal marks another proud chapter for Pakistan volleyball and signals a bright future for the country’s youth athletes on the international stage.
