Pakistan’s pride in mixed martial arts, Shahzaib Rind, is preparing for one of the most high-profile bouts of 2026 as he gets ready to defend his Karate Combat Lightweight World Championship against Israeli challenger Natan Levy.
Karate Combat Confirms Championship Clash
The international promotion Karate Combat officially announced the matchup through its social media channels, confirming that Shahzaib Rind and Natan Levy will face off with the lightweight title on the line. While the date and venue are yet to be disclosed, the fight has already generated massive attention among global MMA fans due to its competitive importance and wider geopolitical context.
Shahzaib Rind’s Dominant Championship Journey
At just 27 years old, Shahzaib Rind has established himself as one of the most dominant fighters in Karate Combat. He reclaimed the lightweight crown on January 25, 2025, at Karate Combat 52 in Miami, where he delivered a commanding performance against former three-time world champion Edgars Skrivers, securing a unanimous 7–0 decision.
Earlier, at Karate Combat 44 in Mexico City, Rind stunned the crowd with one of the fastest finishes in the promotion’s history. He knocked out Marco Cubas of Peru in just 21 seconds, combining a flying knee, a crushing high kick, and relentless ground strikes.
Latest Title Defense and Fighting Record
Rind successfully defended his title again on July 19, 2025, at Karate Combat 56 in Miami, where he stopped Brazilian fighter Luiz Rocha via TKO at 2:57 of the fourth round, further cementing his elite status in the lightweight division.
From Balochistan to World Champion
Hailing from Balochistan, Shahzaib Rind began training in martial arts at the age of nine. With limited resources, he developed much of his technique by studying fight footage and tutorials online. Outside Karate Combat, he boasts an impressive 75–4 record across Wushu and kickboxing, along with six national titles.
Historic Moment for Pakistan
Rind’s global rise reached a historic peak at KC-49 in Singapore on September 18, 2024, when he defeated Brazil’s Bruno Roberto De Assis to become Pakistan’s first-ever Karate Combat world champion.
As he prepares to defend his crown once again, Shahzaib Rind continues to carry the hopes of Pakistani combat sports fans worldwide.
